FAQs

What happens if it rains?
Don’t let a little rain stop you! We have raincoats for you if you don’t have your own. If it is really hosing down, we will reschedule your trek or provide a full refund if you phone us in advance to cancel.

Do you sell gift vouchers?
Yes! Go to booking page for details. We also have concession cards for multiple rides.  Email us with your request.

What if we don’t have transport?
No worries! With 24 hours notice, we can arrange for a shuttle service to collect you from Ngongotaha or Rotorua City Centre at a cost set by them at the time.

I’ve never ridden before. What if I get on the horse and hate it?
We provide a 20 minute introduction to riding and teach you the basics prior to every trek. And our horses are so well behaved, you shouldn’t have a problem. But if you really are uncomfortable, and you don’t go on your trek, we will refund you.

I am an experienced rider and want to have a canter. Do you have a ride for me?
The longer rides cater for more experienced riders and there’s an opportunity to canter in some open paddocks at the back of the farm. If you go on the Two hour or longer rides, you’ll get to these paddocks. If you request a canter when you book, we will do our best to accommodate you.

What if my partner doesn’t want to ride?
No problem, we have a stream walk, free tea and coffee, a picnic and lounge area. If you have the gear and a licence, you can go fishing in our beautiful Ngongotaha stream, full of Rainbow and Brown Trout.

How far are you from town?
It’s a 15 minute drive from the Post Office in the City Centre and we are really easy to find! See locations map for directions.

Are there other attractions nearby?
Yes! See our links page for full details and don’t forget to check out our combos!
