The heart and soul of Paradise Valley Ventures Horse Riding are the horses themselves. We have some real characters who you’ll get to know better when you visit.
Mabeline - Our Lord Of The Rings Star. A 14 yr old grey mare that stands a solid 16hh.Built to stand the test of time and with her positive attitude to life she is fun to have around.She loves being the center of attention and having her photo taken with clients.
Bella- 10 yr. old 38 inch pinto mare. That's right she a miniature horse! Cute as a button and loves having her photo taken. You can find her in her own special little pen by the carpark.
Moose - 16yr old standardbred gelding, 16.1 hh, he is a great ride for the nervous or first time rider to build up your confidence and enjoy yourself.
Mudz- 12 yr old 14.3 hh, Grey Gelding, an Arabian endurance horse that has come us and loves kids. Lightly built but can go the distance.
Tua- 10 yr. old 14.2 hh, "flea-bitten" grey gelding, also an Arabian endurance horse that we bought with Mudz. More heavily built than Mudz and enjoys longer rides and cantering with experienced riders.
Princess Bear- 14 yr. old solid Skewbald mare, 14.2 hh, stronger nature for the more experienced rider, and great fun on the longer rides, very forward moving and likes to get on with the job!
Shoolbus- 13 yr. old brown mare, 16 hh, has a beautiful nature that can turn it on when you want her to, but knows when little kids need tender care. She is good at reading riders like a book, and looks after them.
Solly- 13 yr. old grey mare, Lippizanna cross, 17.1 hh this gentle giant came to us after having a few foals. She is a real sweetie and great for tall clients.
Megan- 11 yr. old, 14hh bay mare. A strong natured bush pony that is great with a firm hand.
Wilkie - 16 yrs old Standardbred Pinto gelding. 15.3hh
Wilkie is quickly making a name for himself as a strong, reliable horse.
Snip – 17 yr old bay standard-bred gelding. 15.2hh
A forward moving horse, easy-going, steady and reliable. He’s an old hand at trekking, coming to us from another trekking operation.
Beau – 9 yr old standard-bred gelding. 15.3hh
A favourite for lessons, Beau is a kind boy who likes to have a good roll after he’s finished his work.
The Man – 10 yr old red bay gelding. 15.2hh
One of our star horses, he really is ‘The Man’. Kind, strong and steady.
Coastie – 6yr old dun crossbred mare. 15hh
Coastie is a favourite among staff and is also sister to ‘The Man’. She’s young, but learning fast, and being the only blonde in the herd, gets a lot of attention.
Holly – 10 yr old grey pinto mare. 14.2hh
Holly is a pretty lady. She’s one of our “cover girls” and appears in lots of our advertising.
Cossack – 10 yr old crossbred brown/black gelding. 15.1hh
Likes the odd cuddle now and then. Cossack is an old hand at trekking and knows his stuff, a solid steady horse.
Cherokee – 12 yr old chestnut paint mare. 14.2hh
Cherokee is a cheeky horse that likes to play games, and is great for our young customers on pony rides. She is very polite to children.
Lyon – 11 yr old strawberry roan mare. 15hh
Cherokee and Lyon are best mates and inseparable! She is a strong and sturdy ride.
Moana - 3 yr. old bay filly, 14.1hh. Lyon's foal, she was born on our property and has just been broken in and will be entering the team soon for our guides to use.
Jesse – 16 yr old rich bay mare. 13.2hh
A pony that knows her job, Jesse is great for small and large riders alike. Jesse and Trigger came to Paradise Valley Ventures as a pair.
Trigger – 17 yr old standard-bred x chestnut gelding. 14.1hh
A strong and steady horse that has heaps of trekking experience.
Thomas – 9 yr old chocolate gelding. 14.3hh
Great for the novice and experienced rider alike, Thomas is willing to take any pace you set for him. Best friends with Jesse.
Red – 21 yr old bay standard-bred gelding. 16.2hh
Don’t let his age fool you, he’s a great forward-moving horse who loves being at the front.
Chester – 14 yr old chestnut gelding. 15hh
Chester was a TV superstar, appearing in several Speight’s beer commercials during his younger years. Chester insists on the Hollywood lifestyle. He won’t be put into any stable stalls that aren’t king-size.
Beegee – 12 yr old bay crossbred mare. 14.2hh
Beegee is a quiet and happy mare, that delivers a good ride for riders of all abilities.
Big Chester - 7 yr old standard bred chestnut gelding, 17hh A tall fella, (aka Pharlap) but a real sweetie. Great for all levels of ability.
